Submitting to directories can be tedious and time consuming. Many webmasters use directory submission
programs, but sometimes these can have drawbacks. Some automated directory submission programs submit
to many low quality web directories that have very little if any benefit to a quality website. There are also
some manual submission services which can be costly and some may still submit to some of the low or no
quality directories.

Some low quality directories collect email addresses that end up being spam magnets or you will opt-in to
their mailing service when you verify your listing.

Many directories offer free and paid services. If so, free listings may not be guaranteed, take some time to be
listed and will appear after paid or "featured" listings.

High quality directories may not accept affiliate links and might also require submissions to be accompanied
by a valid email address from the same domain. Ensure your site meets the guidelines for submission to each
directory before you submit.
