Blogs or "web logs" and blogging ("The Blogosphere") have become an important part of the internet world.
There are blogs of every type, from personal and family blogs to professional and business blogs, even
community blogs where several writers contribute to the content. There are quite a few successful bloggers
that have large followings of readers.

The purpose of this list is two-fold. First we will list blogging communities that allow you to develop blogs
with unique urls, like Google's Blogger and others like Vox. These can be used to set up your own blogs
related to your website. You can place links to your website(s) on your blog and also use the blog to promote
and encourage traffic to your website. The other list, which will be quite extensive, will consist of established
blogs and their subject areas, so that you, as a webmaster can identify those that are relevant to your
website(s). Again, as with forum posts, we do not encourage or condone "Spamming" of blogs. Well placed
and constructive comments on blogs related to your expertise and website content are excellent sources for
links and webtraffic generation. DO NOT just post generic comments or repeat others' comments just for the
sake of posting your signature. The blog should be related to your site's content, so contribute to the blog's
readership. Wouldn't you rather have your website considered an "expert source" rather than a "spammer's
site?"
